Holy Week

Term 1 at Hartford College ended with the boys performing a dramatised reenactment of the events of Jesus’ passion to the Hartford Community.
Under the guidance of our Year 5/6 teacher, Mrs Jenny Hoare, the boys practised and memorised their lines over several weeks and gave a first-class performance.
The students experienced the holy events portrayed, which captured the profound moments of Jesus’ suffering and death.
Full marks to the boys for a fantastic performance and for all their hard work in learning the many lines and actions.
Reenacting Christ’s final days in Jerusalem is a reverent and meaningful way for the students to deepen their understanding of the story of Jesus and the significance of his crucifixion. It reminds them that God’s love for the world was so profound that He sent His only begotten Son to die for us, so that we can share in everlasting life with Him in heaven.
The liturgy concluded with a special blessing from Hartford’s Chaplain, Fr Paul Grant, adding a meaningful end to the students’ performance.
